Julie Kamps

Counsel

Julie Kamps is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in business law and trusts and estates litigation. She handles both transactional matters and business litigation, including corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, securities litigation, securities fraud, FINRA issues and shareholder disputes.

Ms. Kamps received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1998. After law school, she joined the New York office of the global law firm, Fried Frank, as a litigation associate, focusing on securities litigation, intellectual property litigation, and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Kamps’ securities litigation practice focused on representing corporations, directors, and secondary actors in securities class actions and derivative litigation, as well as representing corporations and their boards in mergers, acquisitions and hostile takeover litigations. Ms. Kamps also co-authored a number of articles that were published in the legal press.

After over a decade at Fried Frank, Ms. Kamps joined The Rosen Law Firm where she represented investors in securities fraud cases against corporations, broker-dealers, and individual brokers in state and federal court. Following that, Ms. Kamps worked at a boutique investment bank and broker-dealer as the company’s General Counsel. As General Counsel, Ms. Kamps honed her transactional and regulatory skillset to include, among other things, FINRA arbitrations, compliance issues, private and public equity, debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions. Since then, Ms. Kamps has broadened her expertise by handling highly contested trust & estate litigations.
